The resource base of school dropouts/ 10th (Madhyamik) Pass is very large, especially in Districts. Success rate in training , testing and placement is high. OTHER WINGS
Approved Training Institute (ATI) of The Indian Institute of Welding for National WELDERS Training and Certification Scheme (NWTCS). Approved Training and Testing Centre of Shipyard and Refinery Industries of Singapore, and also Building Construction Authority of Singapore. Quivan Skill Empowerment Pvt. Ltd. is now a partner of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) in setting up a number of District Training Centers at West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and neighbouring States to train annually about 3000 trainees in different employable skills. Quivan Skill Empowerment Pvt. Ltd. is now engaged in Border Area Development Project (BADP) a Skill Development Initiative of the Government of West Bengal for a number of skills.
LIFE SKILLS
Many young people cannot make a successful transition from school to subsequent learning and some people do. These groups are 16/17 years old who are vulnerable at this transition phase. It is proper to consider these students who are disengaged from learning and are in danger of dropping out of further learning because they lack aptitudes for selected skills, qualifications, attitudes or as because they face significant personal and social obstacles.
“LIFE SKILLS” is a provision of providing support through a flexible, tailor made package to meet the needs of every school drop out searching for the right skills or higher studies to go for. This option aims to improve motivation or confidence skills, key skills and personal effectiveness and provides opportunities to sample different learning opportunities and to know the priority. A Personal Adviser looks after a few selected students for such counseling and preparation of such package.
INFRASTRUCTURE
QPITI is situated centrally at Madhyamgram,Kolkata. Two four storeyed buildings having more than twenty four thousand square feet of floor area with Six Class Rooms with Audio-visual equipment, Computer Lab, Electrical Workshop, Fitting Workshop, Welding Workshop and Stores. Workshops are equipped with the machinery and equipment as per NCVT norms. A 100 Seat Boarding House with boarding and lodging facilities is available to accommodate outstation students at a nominal cost.
